Aim4Faith Ministries organized the Trauma Healing and Bible Distribution program in Chak No 362 JB Korian, Toba Tek Singh on 7th Dec 2009.

The people and children are really in trauma and having the horrible dreams. They are still afraid to move out from the homes and unable to reach the shops and markets because of these horrible attacks. These attacks left the dreadful scenes on the minds of children and result is they are not touching their books like Urdu Literature, English Literature, social studies and Islamiyat (please note these books contains more than 40% Islamic teachings , Arabic language and Quranic verses). The ruins of their houses and death scenes are still implanted on their minds and souls. They have seen their burning houses with naked eyes dashing to the ground. The counterfeit issue of blasphemy (Islamiyat book) was carried out from this village and consequence was ruining the two Christian Towns (more than 240 Houses) and Nine dead bodies (six were burnt alive one shoot dead and other died later).

    

It has dramatic influence on the community of Korian and Gojra. They have lost the sense of trust, conviction and confidence. These human rights violations fuel the young generation to generate the feelings of frustration and revenge.

These sad events left many people homeless, jobless and put them under the complex of inferiority. Mostly the workers were working with the Muslims on their lands, homes and factories. These people are not moving to their works as they are still afraid that replication may be done. Mostly these black laws are used to take the personal revenge and all the blasphemy cases found false in the court.

Mr. Jamil Thomas, Director of Aim4Faith Ministries took the session and taught them to have faith on Lord as Jesus said in the Gospel "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" (Mathew 5:10). He shared that our strength, courage, support, compassion, satisfaction is Our Lord Jesus Christ. He told them that prayers is the most effective weapon in all the situations either we are sad or happy, either we are in trouble or in peace. He told Jesus did not teach to take the revenge from the enemies instead of this He said "But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you" (Luke 6: 27-28).

    

Our Lord Jesus Christ has shown us the ultimate example of love for one's enemies, both in general and in particular. The Lord forgave those who committed the most evil deed in the world - who crucified Him to the cross, and in such forgiveness the Lord revealed the greatest love. But on a larger scale the Lord also revealed the greatest love for us, sinners, by taking upon Himself the sins of the whole world, and that means our sins, too. Sins are God's enemies, because they go against the goodness and perfection of God's creation, and thus the Lord showed love for His enemies, i.e. our sins, by erasing them through His sacrifice on the cross.

Mr. Shafiq the resource person took the session on trauma healing and done the few exercises with children, youth and women. He encouraged them to start life normally, get busy in the daily routine life with the confidence and having faith and trust on each other. He told it is big challenge for the community but things will be normal with the passage of time. He advised them to read books to refresh their minds. He advised the seniors of the community to have meetings for the counseling and sharing.

    

Later on Bibles as a gift was given to the victims as during this massive destruction The Bibles were burnt.

We would also like to provide young/school going children with Christian literature, magazines, books and booklets, so they can get busy.
